CCARC has received a donation which will enable amateur radio digital mode operations at the Clearfield County EMA amateur radio station. Darren Dixon of Philipsburg, amateur radio call sign W3DLD, recently donated a Intel NUC computer and a monitor for use at the Clearfield County EMA. This computer will enable amateur radio operators to run digital modes such as the popular FT8 and FLDIGI modes, which are useful tools to support emergency communications operations. CCARC members will be configuring the newly donated equipment and preparing it for use. We are grateful to Darren for his generous donation and look forward to placing it into service.
