CCARC Installs New GMRS Band Repeater

The Clearfield County Amateur Radio Club is pleased to announce that a new GMRS service repeater has been
placed into service at Rockton Mountain, Clearfield County. This repeater was made possible with the cooperation and assistance of both Clearfield County EMA and Center Communications staff.

The repeater is on 462.675 MHz with the receive set at 467.675 MHz.  A PL tone of 141.3 Hz is enabled to alleviate any potential interference.  The repeater call sign is WRDV946.  The equipment in use a Kenwood TKR-750 repeater which is controlled by a Arcom 210 repeater controller.

This new GMRS repeater provides an extension of several other existing GMRS repeater covering the State
College, Altoona and Philipsburg areas. Service coverage is now extended as far West as Clarion and North to the outskirts of the Saint Marys area.

CCARC’s intention is to make this repeater open and available to anyone authorized to use the GMRS radio service. CCARC has adopted a “GMRS Usage Policy” for the new repeater.  Click here to see the GMRS Usage Policy.
