On Thursday May 12th Clearfield County 911 Coordinator Jeremy Ruffner hosted a core group of amateur radio operators involved in Pennsylvania’s ACS program at the Clearfield County Emergency Management Agency building. The purpose of this gathering was to review the changes to the 911 dispatch center and the amateur radio facilities contained within the dispatch center.
Those present were given a tour of the recently renovated and expanded 911 dispatch center and the relocated space for the amateur radio operations. After a few more details are addressed the next task will be to reassemble the amateur radio equipment in the new space and prepare it for use.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Rich KB3QKR, Mike WB3EQW, John N3SPW and Scott W3EOD who participated. As this project continues to progress details will be posted here.
